JOAD SIGNUP
We are now working on setting up a booking website for easier lesson set-ups, payments, etc.
We currently have several options for private lessons. Classes are still on hold for the time being.
Greetings Archers and Families,
As you have all heard, High Altitude Archery is closing their doors at the end of August. We are reaching out to those who are interested in helping us keep the High Altitude Hitmen afloat. From what we have heard the majority of the JOAD team wants to stay together as well as a few new members we are hoping to add to the team. Included in these new additions are two new JOAD coaches some of you may have worked with; Greg Henry and (Brit) Ash Bonner in addition to Kristin Hanak who has coached the HAA team for six years and Kendra who coached last year.
As of right now here is what to expect:
A two and a half hour practice Saturday mornings taking place at St. Vrain outdoor Archery Range. We plan to do a team building work day to make this possible and set up the range.
More details will be provided shortly. Check back here or on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/316372612264354
If you are not a member of this facebook group, please request to join and we will include you.
An option of being on our recreational team or competition team
Competition team comes with higher training expectations; however, there will be a guaranteed weekly or bi-weekly 1 hour private lesson with a JOAD coach. Another option is a 2 person lesson.
You must be planning to compete in the minimum amount of competitions to be eligible for a belt buckle in order to be considered on our competition team. Anyone can compete but we with limited time and space we want to prioritize our archers who are showing commitment.
Competition team will also be expected to do basic mental management practice both during and outside of practice. On top of shooting in some capacity 3 times per week or more. This will need to be logged and signed off on by parents.
Recreational team will have a single 2 hour skills class once a month.
Private Lessons and Classes
Private lessons will proceed depending on coach availability and locations in which lessons will be held. for more information on this, please contact any of our coaches provided below to proceed. Classes will be paused for the time being. Please also browse through the websites tabs for more info on where certain ranges are in relation to High Altitude (used for driving estimates).

Here is what we need from archers and parents in order to pull this off.
A space to shoot
We have many ideas surrounding this but please let us know ASAP if anyone has a connection to a barn, basement or large area we could use for training in the winter.
Communication
we are doing our best at talking to all archers and families interested but the more help we have the better.
Support and patience…
We love coaching all of you and your kids but this is a difficult transition. Your patience and kindness is appreciated. Feel free to reach out with questions, or concerns, and even solutions. Simple surveys are also provided on this website so as to help us standardize things for as smooth of a transition as we can manage.
Sincerely,
The High Altitude Team
